Cumulus Clouds
What do Cumulus clouds look like? Where can we find them?
In the Latin language, the word "cumulus" means "pile." So, Cumulus clouds are clouds that pile up on top of each other.
For example, have you ever seen a cloud that looks like a bunch of cotton balls all stuck together? That is a Cumulus cloud that is made up of many clouds being squished together!
Cumulus clouds can be confusing though. Sometimes they are white and not too many of them appear together in the sky.
But, sometimes many of them hang in the sky at the same time and sometimes they are even gray! Cumulus clouds are usually found pretty low in the sky.

What weather should we predict when we see a Cumulus cloud?
When you see a puffy white Cumulus cloud you are usually in the clear. This type of cloud does not tell you that it will immediately start to rain. Did you guess right? Now you know!
